We are thrilled to announce that a Clean Energy Manufacturing Supply Chain Roadmap developed by Team NEO and BRITE Energy Innovators as part of the Smart Manufacturing Cluster of Northeast Ohio platform, has been selected as an award winner by the U.S. Department of Energy’s “Manufacturing of Advanced Key Energy Infrastructure Technologies (MAKE IT)” program to accelerate U.S. clean energy manufacturing.
This winning project, coordinated by Sophia Long, Industry Programs Manager at Team NEO, not only charts a strategic path forward for the region but also embodies a commitment to inclusivity, collaboration, and shared prosperity. By aligning the roadmap’s objectives with the needs and aspirations of the community, the region positions itself as a national leader in clean energy innovation, driving sustainable growth while ensuring that all residents share in its success. Through continued partnership and engagement, Northeast Ohio can serve as a national model for clean energy manufacturing that other regions can emulate, ensuring a bright and sustainable future for generations to come.
Inspired by the Make It Better Blueprint launched with MAGNET and numerous partners, this roadmap envisions Northeast Ohio becoming a national leader in the manufacturing of clean energy products and technologies, creating a vibrant ecosystem that connects local manufacturers to global supply chains and drives innovation. This vision emphasizes collaborations among industry, government, and educational institutions to develop advanced manufacturing capabilities in areas such as renewable energy systems, energy storage, and electric vehicle components. By positioning the region as a center for clean energy innovation, Northeast Ohio aims to enhance its competitive edge in a rapidly evolving market.
